Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an additional grant given to schools to help improve the attainment of disadvantaged children. We encourage all parents who receive qualifying benefits to apply, in confidence, for the grant. This extra funding helps the school to make a real difference to those children. We use the grant in a number of ways to help raise attainment and to provide enriching experiences. For every child that qualifies, the school receives £1,300.

You can read about how we have spent the Pupil Premium Grant in previous years below but expenditure includes the use of interventions such as Numicon, Read Write Inc., the provision of Homework Books, free school trips, free Breakfasts and activities days for all children such as Forensic Science Days, Dinosaur Days and Circus Workshops.

Current Year Pupil Premium Allocation:

2016/2017 – £77,880 (confirmed amount)

2017/ 2018 – £76,560 (confirmed amount)

Current Spending Plan

As we are still in the 2016/2017 academic year, this is our current strategy and the budgetary allocation for 2017/2018 will be incorporated. We will include the impact of 2016/2017 spending once data has been validated in September 2017. We will then update our strategy for the new academic year.

It is a requirement that all Schools report on their pupil premium allocation, use and impact on attainment at the end of the financial year. We do this on a yearly basis and display this information here.  The reports are available below:
