On Friday, Year 1 put on a spectacular performance all about Diwali. 1MA told the story of Rama and Sita, 1FN & 1KU explained how most Hindu people celebrate Diwali from day 1-5 by asking some familiar faces at Uplands Infants School!
The children’s favourite part was definitely the fashion show where they got to show off their beautiful celebration clothes and they especially loved recreating the annual Diwali Light Show which takes place on Melton Road every year.
Each class showcased excellent acting, singing and dancing. Through this the children have learnt how to express themselves clearly and confidently. They practiced using their voice, body language, and facial expressions to convey emotions and stories. We are so proud of our Year 1 children and how talented they are!
