The Gaston Class are beginning to learn about biographies this term.
The Gaston Class are beginning to learn about biographies this term. The first person we researched was the amazing author Roald Dahl. The children were fascinated by his life and asked if they could read one of his books.
Mr Aziz read the blurbs of The BFG, The Witches and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory; the children then voted for the book they wanted Mr Aziz to read to them.
We analysed the data as a class by looking at which book received the greatest number of votes and which book received the least. Some children were disappointed that the book they voted for wasn’t the winning book, so we spoke about why it was only fair that we read the book that the majority of children voted for.
The children can’t wait for next week to hear about Charlie’s adventure in the chocolate factory!
