We had so much fun partying at the Halloween Disco! The children came dressed in their spookiest costumes and enjoyed partying with some sweet treats.
Year 2 went on a trip to Botanical Gardens to learn about the amazing plants they have growing there. We were able to do lots of different activities to learn more about plants and understand how they help us in our everyday lives. We found out about herbs and other plants that produce food. As well as knowing what else we can use them for such as shampoos, toothpaste and more! We had an opportunity to plant cress to take home and grow ourselves. Additionally, we learnt about the parts of a plant and what plants need to survive. Then we learnt about tropical and dessert plants and how they are different to the plants we have in the UK. Finally, we were able to create art by collecting different leaves and taking leaf/bark rubbings. We also collected fallen branches and leaves to create plant artwork. It was a great day out!
