Spring Term 2 – Stay & Play Session
Spring Term 2 has been a lovely term full of growth, confidence and new experiences.
We explored the theme of spring, giving the children opportunities to discover seasonal changes through sensory activities. A highlight of the term was introducing water play, which helped build confidence while encouraging exploration of different textures. The children enjoyed pouring, splashing and scooping, all of which supported the development of their fine motor skills and coordination.
It has been wonderful to see how the group has formed such lovely friendships and established familiar routines. The children now confidently join in with songs and action movements, showing growing independence and enthusiasm during our circle times.
We ended the term with a joyful Eid celebration. Our Eid party was a special way to mark the end of Ramadan, and we are so grateful to all the mums who brought and shared a picnic together. It was a beautiful celebration of community, culture and togetherness.
Thank you to everyone who continues to make our Stay & Play sessions so warm and welcoming. We look forward to another exciting term ahead! 🌸💧✨

Autumn Term 1 – Stay & Play Session
What a wonderful start to our Autumn Term 1 Stay & Play sessions! It was lovely to welcome our mums and little ones into the new set-up, where everyone had the chance to explore, discover and play together in a relaxed and nurturing environment.
The babies particularly enjoyed tummy time, building their strength and confidence while reaching for exciting sensory objects. There were lots of smiles as they explored different textures and movements at their own pace.
Our Halloween-themed messy play was a big hit! The children loved getting hands-on with spaghetti play, squishing, squeezing, and exploring the textures, while using clippers to develop their hand coordination and strengthen their fine and gross motor skills. It was fantastic to see such curiosity, creativity, and confidence as they explored.
Thank you to all our mums for joining in, getting messy and making it such a special session. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings! 🎃🍂
Autumn Term 2 – Stay & Play Session
What a joyful and creative Autumn Term 2 we have had in our Stay & Play sessions!
We began by celebrating Diwali with colourful paint exploration. The children enjoyed discovering different colours and textures, expressing themselves freely while developing their sensory awareness and creativity. It was wonderful to see mums joining in and supporting their little ones as they explored.
As the season changed, we introduced snowy foam play to mark our Christmas celebrations. The children loved feeling, scooping, and patting the “snow,” building their sensory experiences while strengthening their fine and gross motor skills through hands-on exploration.
We ended the term with a very special Christmas party filled with games, songs and lots of laughter. A huge thank you to all our mums who brought in delicious foods to share from different cultures — it was a beautiful way to celebrate our diverse community together. We were even treated to our very own homemade Christmas party cake, kindly made by one of our mums, which made the celebration extra special.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this term so memorable. We look forward to welcoming you back for more fun and learning in the new term! 🎄✨
Spring Term 1 – Stay & Play Session
Spring Term 1 was filled with love, laughter, and lots of creative fun in our Stay & Play sessions!
We enjoyed exploring a Valentine’s Day theme, where the children had opportunities to make special cards through sticking and painting activities. These hands-on experiences supported their creativity while continuing to develop their fine and gross motor skills. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they explored different materials and expressed themselves.
We also came together for nursery rhymes and singing, encouraging communication, listening skills and plenty of joyful interaction between mums and their little ones.
One of the highlights of the term was decorating heart-shaped biscuits together. It was such a lovely touch to see mums and children working side by side, sharing smiles and creating sweet treats to take home. There was so much fun, laughter and special bonding moments before we broke up for half term.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a warm and memorable start to the spring season. We look forward to seeing you all again soon! 💕🌸
