Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an additional grant given to schools to help improve the attainment of disadvantaged children. We encourage all parents who receive qualifying benefits to apply, in confidence, for the grant. This extra funding helps the school to make a real difference to those children. We use the grant in a number of ways to help raise attainment and to provide enriching experiences. For every child that qualifies, the school receives £1,320.

You can read about how we have spent the Pupil Premium Grant in previous years below but expenditure includes the use of interventions such as Numicon, Read Write Inc., the provision of Homework Books, free school trips, free Breakfasts and activities days for all children such as Forensic Science Days, Dinosaur Days and Circus Workshops.

We review our strategy and allocation once data is validated in October 2018. This will include actions for the 2018/2019 academic year.
