The Seahorses class delighted everyone with their wonderful production of Pinocchio. Through their performance, the children explored the importance of honesty and how this links closely to our school rules of being kind, safe and respectful.
The children confidently used their communication and language skills to learn and perform their lines, retell the story and express emotions through their characters. Singing and dancing highlighted their physical development as well as their creativity within expressive arts and design.
Working together helped the children build strong personal, social and emotional development, showing teamwork, turn‑taking and growing confidence on stage. Storytelling and character recognition supported literacy, while sequencing the story and understanding performance cues linked to early mathematical thinking.
By exploring the story of Pinocchio, the children also developed their understanding of the world, reflecting on right and wrong and how our choices affect others.
Well done, Seahorses, for such an amazing performance!
