Some of our student’s visited the National Forest near Measham in North-West Leicestershire as part of our Eco Schools and Forest School projects. During the visit, the children successfully planted 108 trees, contributing positively to the local environment and supporting biodiversity.
The trip provided valuable hands-on learning opportunities. Students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of trees, sustainability, and caring for the natural world. They developed teamwork skills, followed instructions carefully, and showed resilience while working outdoors.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were excited to take part in real-life environmental action. There was a strong sense of achievement and enthusiasm throughout the morning, with lots of curiosity, discussion, and learning taking place. Overall, the trip was a highly engaging and rewarding experience that supported both environmental awareness and personal development.
