Dragon class have been learning about classifying animals into groups as part of their science topic this week. In class, children used their oracy skills to discuss the features of mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish and insects. The children’s learning of animal classification continued within the continuous provision area. Some children sorted the toy animals into groups to embed what they had learned in class and other children used the non fiction books to find out new information about animals they were interested in.
